Rooftop Solar Solutions in Jodhpur

Jodhpur has one of the better solar resources in the country. Rajasthan receives strong, consistent direct sunlight for most of the year and the region averages well over 300 clear days annually, which is why the state carries India's largest installed solar capacity. For a homeowner that translates into a simple advantage: a rooftop array here produces more units per installed kilowatt than the same array in most other parts of India.

LIUMIQ Green Energy is a rooftop solar EPC company serving Jodhpur and the surrounding districts. EPC means engineering, procurement and construction — we do the design, source the equipment and carry out the installation ourselves rather than passing you between a salesperson, a supplier and a contractor. One contract, one accountable team.

We work on on-grid systems for homes. On-grid means your rooftop array is connected to the JdVVNL grid through a bidirectional net meter: you use solar during the day, export whatever you do not consume, and draw from the grid at night against those exported units. There is no battery in a standard on-grid system, which is what keeps the cost and the maintenance low.

These are estimates, not promises. Generation, savings and payback depend on your roof orientation, shading, actual consumption and your JdVVNL tariff slab. The only accurate number is the one produced after an engineer measures your roof. We put that figure in writing before you pay anything.

Residential Solar Installation

Almost every home we look at falls into one of three sizes, decided by how many units you actually consume rather than by how much roof you have. The starting point is your JdVVNL bill — specifically the monthly units, not the rupee amount, because tariff slabs change and units do not.

Indicative sizing guide. Actual sizing is confirmed at the site survey.
Your monthly consumptionTypical system size
Around 250–400 units3 kW
Around 450–700 units5 kW
Above 1,000 units10 kW

Sizing above your consumption is the most common way homeowners overspend on solar. Under net metering you are credited for exported units, but the economics of a deliberately oversized array are usually worse than putting that money elsewhere. If your roof can take more than you need, we will say so — and we will also say when it is not worth it.

3kW, 5kW and Larger Solar Systems

Each size has its own page with roof-area requirements, component detail, generation estimates and what the system realistically does and does not cover:

Our Solar Installation Process

Nothing here is unusual, and that is the point. A rooftop solar installation is a well-understood sequence, and most problems come from steps being skipped rather than from anything exotic.

  1. Bill review. You send a recent JdVVNL bill. We read the monthly units and sanction load and come back with an indicative size before anyone visits.
  2. Site survey. An engineer measures usable roof area, checks shading through the day, inspects the roof structure and the existing meter and earthing.
  3. Written quote and design. Panel model, inverter make, structure specification, cabling, timeline and price — on paper, before you commit.
  4. DISCOM application. We prepare and file the net-metering application with JdVVNL and the PM Surya Ghar registration.
  5. Installation. Structure, modules, inverter, DC and AC cabling, earthing and protection devices.
  6. Inspection and commissioning. JdVVNL inspects and installs the bidirectional meter. The system goes live.
  7. Subsidy claim and handover. Subsidy documentation submitted, warranty papers and datasheets handed over, AMC schedule set.

Solar Site Survey

The survey is free and carries no obligation. It exists because a quote given without seeing the roof is a guess. What the engineer is actually checking:

  • Usable area, not total area. Water tanks, stairwell headroom, parapet shadows and access paths all subtract from what looks like a large terrace.
  • Shading through the day and the year. A neighbouring building that clears your roof in June may clip it badly in December, when the sun sits lower.
  • Structure. Whether the roof can carry the array, and whether a non-penetrating elevated structure is needed on an older RCC slab.
  • Electrical. Existing earthing quality, meter position, sanctioned load and the cable run from roof to meter.

You get the findings in writing whether or not you buy from us.

Solar Subsidy Guidance

The central PM Surya Ghar subsidy is up to ₹78,000 for a system of 3 kW or more. The application is made through the national portal and the money is credited by the government directly to your bank account after installation and inspection — it is not a discount the installer applies to your bill. We prepare and file the paperwork, but approval and disbursal timelines belong to the portal and the DISCOM.

Full detail, including eligibility and the document list, is on the solar subsidy in Jodhpur page.

Solar Panel Cleaning & Maintenance

An on-grid rooftop system has no moving parts and needs very little attention — with one local exception. Jodhpur sits at the edge of the Thar desert, and airborne dust settles on panel glass faster here than in most of the country. Soiling is the single most common reason a system in this region quietly produces less than it should, and it is completely reversible.

Why Choose LIUMIQ Green Energy

We are a new company, founded in 2026. We would rather say that plainly than show you testimonials you cannot verify. Here is what actually protects you when you buy from a young installer:

  • The panel warranty is the manufacturer's, not ours. A 25-year performance warranty on an ALMM-listed module is backed by Waaree, Tata, Adani or Vikram. It does not depend on how long LIUMIQ has existed.
  • Everything in writing before you pay. Exact panel model, inverter make, structure specification and timeline in a fixed written quote.
  • Named accountability. You deal with the founder directly. The number on this site is answered by the person responsible for your installation.
  • Five-year workmanship cover. Anything we installed — structure, wiring, earthing, mounting — we repair free for five years. That is our own commitment and it is in the contract.
  • Honest sizing. Including telling you when a smaller system, or no system at all, is the right answer for your roof.

[VERIFY: registrations] If LIUMIQ holds a GST number, Udyam/MSME registration, or a DISCOM vendor registration, print the actual registration number here. Do not list a certification without its number — an unverifiable badge is worse than no badge.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

We take residential rooftop work across Jodhpur city and the surrounding belt, including Ratanada, Sardarpura, Shastri Nagar, Paota, Chopasni Housing Board, Basni, Pal Road, Kudi Bhagtasni, Jhalamand and Banar Road. We are a service-area business, so we come to your roof; there is no walk-in office.
It is decided by your monthly units, not by your roof size. As a rough guide, 250–400 units a month usually suits a 3 kW system, 450–700 units a 5 kW system, and above 1,000 units a 10 kW system. The site survey confirms it, because shading and usable roof area can change the answer.
PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana is a central government scheme for residential rooftop solar. The published slab is ₹30,000 per kW for the first 2 kW and ₹18,000 for the third kW, capped at ₹78,000 for systems of 3 kW and above. You need a valid domestic electricity connection and your own roof. The subsidy is released by the government directly to your bank account after installation and DISCOM inspection — it is not a discount we apply to the invoice. Current rules are published at pmsuryaghar.gov.in.
Net metering replaces your existing meter with a bidirectional meter that records both what you import from the grid and what you export to it. In Jodhpur the approving DISCOM is Jodhpur Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited (JdVVNL). We prepare and submit the application and coordinate the inspection; the approval and meter installation are done by JdVVNL on their own timeline.
Jodhpur sits on the edge of the Thar desert, so airborne dust settles on panel glass faster than in wetter parts of India, and soiling is the most common cause of gradual output loss here. The effect is fully reversible with cleaning. We plan a cleaning schedule for your site rather than applying a generic one, and cleaning is included in the AMC period.
The physical installation of a typical residential system is a short job — usually one to three working days on site depending on system size, roof access and structure height. The longer part of the project is paperwork: DISCOM application, net-meter inspection and subsidy processing all run on government timelines that no installer controls. We give you a realistic date range in writing rather than a single optimistic number.
Yes, and it carries no obligation. You get the engineer's findings in writing whether or not you buy from us. We would rather lose a job at survey stage than install a system that does not suit the roof.
The system stays with the property. The JdVVNL net-metering account is transferred to the new owner's name and we handle that paperwork. Manufacturer panel warranties are tied to the installation, so they continue with the new owner.
